Hallmark knew they wanted a special teaser for the 8th season of their hit original show, When Calls The Heart. To play off of the main character’s journal entries throughout the show, we created swashes of color to treat the footage and created custom illustrations to dynamically transition from moment to moment in the spot.

Knowing we wanted to use ink as a device for transitions and footage treatment, we did extensive R&D on which type of ink to feature, how it would work as a transitional element, and ultimately how to make the footage shine.
